Hardware

We pride ourselves in a quality product and outstanding customer support. You can rest easy that both are taken care of with your VR9500 Revolution.

  • Front End Signal Processing Box. The Revolution uses a high speed RISC processor, which is capable of quickly processing large amounts of data.
  • High Sample Rates. Runs vibration tests efficiently at both low and high sample rates, and with up to 26,000 lines of resolution for random testing.
  • PC Congfiguration. Does NOT require any board in the PC. All the critical calculations are done directly in the hardware box, with the results communicated via Ethernet connection to the PC.
  • Low PC Requirements. The PC is only used for user interface and data storage so the PC requirements are quite low.
  • High Analog Channel Count. From 1 to 128 input channels (in blocks of 4 channel controllers)
  • Control Loops. Up to 4 simultaneous control loops.
  • Ethernet connection:
  • Eliminates the grounding issues created by a USB connection or PCI cards.
  • Ethernet is great for getting rid of 50/60 Hz noise problems.
  • TEDS Interface - the software reads the calibration information right off of the accelerometers (if available).

FEATURED!

Ethernet connection. More reliable than USB and also eliminates grounding issues created by a USB connection or PCI cards.

Ethernet is also great for getting rid of 50/60 Hz noise problems.

26,000 lines of random resolution controls out unwanted low frequency displacement as well as provide superior control at higher frequencies when your product has narrow band resonances.

TEDS interface. Controller will read directly from TEDS type input sensors and enter sensitivity information into database.

Ground bar terminal to minimize power line frequency noise. Provides a quick ground connection to your amplifier or servo-controller.

Extremely low noise floor provides for 130dB Sine Dynamic range and 100dB Random Dynamic range.

Front panel status LEDs quickly tell you about the power and communication connections.

LED input connectors confirm connection when used to power sensors. Green light means connection is good while red light means no connection. Inputs are also fused to 200VAC in case of accidental electrical transients.

Rear remote I/O block for up to 8 (eight) analog or digital inputs and digital outputs. Control external devices or input external signals into the VR9500 and integrate them into your test schedule.

FLEXIBLE!

  • Between 1 to 128 input channels. Configured in 4 channel blocks, stackable. Can easily add control hardware to expand channel count
    or split control hardware to control multiple shakers.

The VibrationVIEW 11 software is used to set up and monitor vibration tests and to perform reporting.

Test Modules

VibrationVIEW can be configured for as many or as few test modules as you’d like. You need at least one to get started, but can add more at any time in the future. In fact, our modules are activated by electronic keys, so you can even “lease” modules if you find you have short term needs for specific tests.

  • SINE – Run swept and/or fixed-frequency sine wave vibration tests, with control of acceleration, velocity, and displacement.
  • SINE ON SINE – Run mixed-mode tests with up to 32 sine tones simultaneously.
  • RANDOM – Run Controlled spectrum random tests (tests with a spectrally shaped gaussian amplitude distribution)
  • SINE ON RANDOM – Run mixed-mode tests with sine tones superimposed on a random background.
  • RANDOM ON RANDOM– Run controlled spectrum random tests with swept random "tones" superimposed on a random background.
  • KURTOSION® – Re-introduce the high acceleration peaks back into your random vibration tests. Our patented -solution to when your in-service vibration environment is not Gaussian.
  • RANDOM IMPORT – Import your time-based vibration data recording and convert to a power spectral density curve with breakpoint table.
  • FATIGUE DAMAGE SPECTRUM – Measure your products fatigue and calculate its lifespan. Commonly used life acceleration techniques are applied to shorten test time.
  • SHOCK – Run standard classical shock pulses as well as (optional) user-defined or SRS synthesized transient pulses.
  • SRS - Perform Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) analysis. Run a shock pulse defined by a frequency vs. G peak table. Many different waveform synthesis generation techniques included.
  • TRANSIENT CAPTURE – Capture a transient waveform for post process. Use alone for data acquisition, or with SRS for Shock Response Spectrum analysis.
  • FIELD DATA REPLICATION – Reproduce, in your test lab on your shaker, the actual acceleration waveforms you measure in the field. The controller automatically compensates for shaker and fixture response.
  • EARTHQUAKE – Run a shock pulse defined by a frequency vs. G peak table. Many different waveform synthesis generation techniques included.
  • RECORDERVIEW - Record your field acceleration measurements digitally, directly to your PC's hard drive. RecorderVIEW can be stream all the inputs and outputs to the hard drive while running other test modes, or used by itself as a field data recorder.
